Synopsis
Some urban legends are best left untested! Yuuto Suou gets more than he bargained for when he joins his childhood friend Mitsuki Shimoya in testing out an urban legend. When he uses his phone to take a picture of himself with the local shrine's divine mirror, he is whisked off into another world—one heavily steeped in the lore of the old Norse myths.
Using his knowledge gained from school and from his solar-powered smartphone, he has the chance to bring the Wolf Clan, the same people who cared for him, to prominence, all while earning the adoration of a group of magic-wielding warrior maidens known as the Einherjar.

This is seriously one of the most underrated anime of all time. I give it a 10/10, from beautiful art to a great and large cast all with personality despite only having 12 episodes, this is truly a hidden gem.
The story is isekai but unusual in that the main character did not die, when he is transported to the new world he is leaving behind people he cares about. Into a world of old technology and magic, he uses his knowledge of modern technology with internet searches to improve the society he lands in and ends up a benevolent dictator. A reminder that just because Crunchyroll tosses money into the development of a show doesn't mean that it's a good idea. The early stages of this anime were decent, maybe even good. But as the series progressed, it just seemed like an isekai show where they wanted to make a main character that was geeky and pure, but not making him interesting.
The biggest shortcoming of harem anime is character development. They rely on tropea for the male and female characters in order to quickly establish a foundation and get to the foundation. This show is a prime example of the problems with this approach. ...

As someone who has watched more Isekai anime, willingly or otherwise, than I'd care to admit, this particular Crunchyroll-funded piece of garbage is truly the bottom of the bottom of the barrel.
Great Isekai anime use their settings and premise to elevate their storytelling and challenge their audience while using the other world to say something meaningful about our world.
Good Isekai anime feature a world and characters worth getting invested in.
Passable Isekai anime stay away from questionable plot points and lean into the ridiculousness of their settings, premise, and characters.
Normal bad Isekai anime have animation that doesn't look unfinished.
